Summary
Clinical research studies are used to test new medicines and other medical treatments. They help researchers understand how an investigational medicine works, if it is safe, how well it works, and what, if any, side effects may occur.
Age
18 to 80 years
Qualifications
You may be eligible to participate in the EVOLVE-SWITCH study if you:
  • Are 18 to 80 years of age
  • Have been treated for at least the last 6 months with weekly injections of semaglutide 1.7 mg or tirzepatide 10 mg for weight reduction (for example, Wegovy® or Zepbound®)
  • At the time of starting semaglutide or tirzepatide, had a history of a body mass index (BMI) ≥30 or a BMI ≥27 and one of the following:
    • High blood pressure
    • High cholesterol
    • Obstructive sleep apnea
    • Cardiovascular disease, such as a previous heart attack or stroke
  • Do not have diabetes (type 1 or 2) or a hemoglobin Alc (HbA1c) of 6.5% or higher
Compensation
